The Welder is responsible for joining metal parts using various welding techniques to create strong and durable structures. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and safety of construction projects, manufacturing processes, and repair operations.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
- Select appropriate welding equipment based on requirements.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., before welding them together.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions as needed.
- Inspect welded surfaces for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Proficiency in MIG/TIG/ARC welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision work.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
