The Order Picker is responsible for efficiently retrieving and preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilling customer orders. This role is crucial in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the company's logistics operations.
- Pick products according to order specifications using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Ensure accuracy of picked items by cross-referencing with order details.
- Prepare orders for shipment by packing items securely and labeling packages appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors immediately.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks safely (if certified).
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting throughout shifts.
- Basic computer skills for data entry tasks.
The Order Picker's performance is evaluated based on the accuracy of order fulfillment, speed of picking operations, adherence to safety protocols, and contribution towards minimizing inventory discrepancies.
